Puppy Kindergarten is just the beginning! AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is designed for puppies who are ready to continue building confidence, strengthen their manners, and practice their skills as they grow.

Using positive reinforcement, we'll build on the foundation your puppy has already started while introducing new challenges and preparing eligible puppies to earn their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy title.

Puppies must be between 6 and 12 months old to participate.

What Is AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy?

S.T.A.R. stands for:

• Socialization

• Responsible Dog Ownership

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program is designed to help puppies develop good manners while encouraging responsible ownership and providing a strong foundation for future training.

Think of it as an early step toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen program. S.T.A.R. Puppy is created specifically for puppies, while CGC evaluates broader manners and behavior that dogs can demonstrate at any age.
